His latest book Sundays at Tiffany's has just hit our shelves. "When you grow up, you won't remember me" hints the flyleaf. For anyone who ever talked to an imaginary friend in their childhood (or beyond), this tale is for you. A growing up and coming of age tale, this sweet gentle story takes you on a roller coaster journey in the true style of a James Patterson romance.
However on a cold wet Saturday night last week, I also happened to pick up 1st to Die. Vaguely aware that this was the first book in the Women's Murder Club, and that the TV series has just started here, I wondered how readable it would be compared to his romances.
No problems here. A racy and fast moving thriller about a serial killer of brides and grooms on their wedding night, this is a real page turner. I have to leave it at home every day so I get some work done. My sister-in-law commented that she really liked it as there were nice short chapters. Bite sized chunks. The only problem is I now have a picture in my head of how the ladies look, and am not sure if the casting is right in the TV series. Oh well... time to talk about that in another blog.
