Rodney Libraries’ April 2008 School Holiday Programme
21 April - 2 May 2008
The theme for these holidays is "Kiwi books for Kiwi kids". There are so many great New Zealand titles for children that we thought we share our favourites. Come to your library for stories and fun for school age children!

Helensville Library and Service Centre
Storytime for preschoolers will run as usual 10.30 am Mondays
Wednesday 23rd April at 10.30 am – We are reading “The Girls in the Kapahaka” then making poi. Tuesday 29th April at 10.30 am – Sit back and enjoy our favourite NZ stories and legends then make a taniwha
Thursday 1st May at 10.30 am – Kiwi Kids love Kiwi dogs

Kumeu Library
Storytime for preschoolers will run as usual 10.30 am Mondays
Tuesday 22nd April at 10.30 am – Sit back and enjoy our favourite NZ stories and legends then make a taniwha.
Thursday 24th April at 10.30 am – We are reading “The Girls in the Kapahaka” then making poi.
Wednesday 30th April at 10.30 am – Kiwi Kids love Kiwi dogs

Mahurangi East Library
Tuesday 22nd April at 10.30am – We are reading “The Girls in the Kapahaka” then making poi and learning a simple poi song.
Thursday 24th April at 10.30am - Sit back and enjoy our favourite NZ stories and legends then make a Taniwha
Tuesday 29th April at 10.30am – Enjoy our stories of NZ animals then make a cute kiwi to take home.

Orewa Library
Storytime and Rhymetime for preschoolers will run as usual
Rhymetime 11 am Tuesdays :: Storytime 11 am Thursdays
Wednesday 23rd April at 11am - Come and join us for a story and a craft activity
Wednesday 30th April at 11am - Come and join us for a story and a craft activity

Warkworth Library
Storytime for preschoolers will run as usual Monday at 10.30 (but not Thursday)
Thursday 24th April at 10.30am – Listen to some Kiwi stories and do a Kiwi craft
Thursday 1st April at 10.30am – Help us act out a Kiwi story “Wacko Kakapo”

Wellsford Library
Storytime for preschoolers will run as usual Wednesdays 10.30 am
Thursday 1st May 10.30am – We are reading “The Girls in the Kapahaka” and making poi.

Whangaparaoa Library and Service Centre
Storytime and rhymetime for preschoolers will run as usual
Storytime 10.30 am Tuesdays and Wednesdays :: Rhymetime 10.30 am Thursdays
Wednesday 23rd April at 2 pm – Come along and hear some good Kiwi stories including “The girls from the Kapahaka” then stay and make poi.
Wednesday 30th April at 2 pm – More Kiwi stories and games
